Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir stated, “Those who claimed that they had drowned the Two-Nation Theory in the Bay of Bengal, where are they today? The lesson from Palestine is that we must protect ourselves and strengthen Pakistan.”
Speaking at the Ulema and Mashaikh Conference, he said, “We do not consider those who do not accept Shariah and the Constitution as Pakistanis. If anyone attempts to create chaos, I swear by the Almighty, we will stand against them. The greatest crime in the sight of Allah is ‘Fasad fil Ardh’ (corruption on earth), and the Pakistan Army is striving to eliminate it.”
He further mentioned, “Pakistan has hosted millions of Afghans for over 40 years. Kashmir is an incomplete agenda of the partition of India and Pakistan. Our hearts weep blood upon witnessing the atrocities committed in Palestine.”
He added, “Western civilization and lifestyle are not our ideals; we should be proud of our own culture. If you want to understand the importance of a state, ask Iraq, Syria, and Libya.”
General Syed Asim Munir urged the Ulema and Mashaikh to promote tolerance and unity instead of extremism or division. He emphasized that the Ulema should bring moderation back to society and reject ‘Fasad fil Ardh.’
He said, “Millions of Asim Munirs, politicians, and Ulema can be sacrificed for this Pakistan; Pakistan is more important than us.”
The Army Chief also stated that social media is being used to spread chaos, and no one has the courage to disrespect the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He asserted, “No power in the world can harm Pakistan. If anyone attempts to create chaos, I swear by the Almighty, we will stand against them. This country was made to last.”
He concluded by saying, “If people wish to protest, they certainly can, but they should remain peaceful. Allah Almighty has commanded that there is no compulsion in religion. Criminals and smuggler mafias are backing terrorism.”
In the fight against terrorism, the Pashtun brothers and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have made many sacrifices. We appreciate the efforts of our Pashtun brothers and stand with them.
