Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif launched the implementation of the Bona-Rast connectivity project for the convenience of overseas Pakistanis.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Bona-Rast connectivity project, Shahbaz Sharif said that a fast, effective, and low-cost scheme for sending money to overseas Pakistanis has been implemented.
According to the announcement issued by the project, Pakistan’s digital payment system has been integrated under the Arab Monetary Fund.
The statement said that millions of Pakistanis living in Arab countries will be able to send money quickly, effectively, and at a low cost.
Prime Minister says Bona Rast is Pakistan’s first cross-border money transfer system, I am happy that it was launched on the occasion of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day. This project is a big step between Pakistan and Arab countries.
Shahbaz Sharif further said that Bona Rast will facilitate digital payments to Pakistan from Arab countries, which will benefit Pakistanis abroad. This project will help to eliminate referrals and handi.
He said that FBR is going through a major reform, and Melinda Foundation and Mackenzie are collaborating to reform FBR.
The Prime Minister says that the Bona Rast project will also increase remittances, and the project will strengthen Pakistan’s infrastructure for the digital transfer of funds.
