Pakistan’s leading economist Dr. Qaiser Bangali has said that the country is bankrupt, and the economy is heading towards destruction, but no one in Islamabad is worried about it.
Qaiser Bangali, who resigned from the austerity committee of the federal government two days ago, has said in a press conference that I have been talking about reducing expenses and imports for 10 years, the solution to the problems is not in closing institutions.
Dr. Qaiser Bangali said that he supports the protesting employees, he told Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that the institutions should be closed but the employees should not be fired. To run the industries, it is necessary to reduce the tax, and the policy rate has to be reduced.
He said that currently foreign companies are leaving Pakistan, and we need to take emergency measures. No one is giving us loans, we want to sell the institution but no one is willing to buy.
He further said that I am not angry with anyone, what I am saying is the truth. I will not withdraw my resignation. It should be noted that Dr. Qaiser Bangali resigned two days ago from the 3 government committees formed regarding the reduction of expenditure.
