The prices of chicken and eggs have significantly decreased in various cities nationwide.
In Lahore, broiler meat prices have dropped by Rs. 7 compared to the previous day. According to the official price list, the per kilogram rate for broiler meat is now Rs. 588, down from Rs. 595. The price of live broiler chicken has decreased by Rs. 5, bringing the wholesale rate to Rs. 392 per kg and the retail rate to Rs. 406 per kg. Additionally, egg prices have significantly reduced Rs. 31 per dozen, now priced at Rs. 239 compared to the previous rate of Rs. 270.
In Multan, the price of live broiler chicken has decreased by Rs. 3. The wholesale rate is now Rs. 392 per kg, while the retail rate is Rs. 406 per kg. However, the price of eggs has increased by Rs. 4 per dozen, bringing the rate to Rs. 231.
In Faisalabad, live broiler chicken prices have dropped by Rs. 13. The wholesale rate is now Rs. 374 per kg, and the retail rate is Rs. 388 per kg. Broiler meat prices have also seen a notable decrease of Rs. 19 per kg, with the current rate at Rs. 562 per kg, compared to Rs. 582 the previous day.
