Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that pilgrims (Hujjaj) are the guests of Allah, and no negligence will be tolerated in assisting them.
A review meeting regarding the preparations for Hajj 2025 was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, attended by Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and senior officials.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on the preparations for Hajj 2025. The participants were updated on the progress of the Hajj Fund, which is in its final stages of completion. It was further highlighted that, like last year, SIM cards will be provided to pilgrims in Pakistan, and the Hajj mobile application is fully operational to assist them.
The Prime Minister sought details regarding the selection process for Hajj assistants, their responsibilities, and other arrangements. He directed the deployment of officers with good reputations for Hajj duties.
Speaking during the session, PM Shehbaz Sharif instructed that a comprehensive briefing on Hajj preparations should be presented in the coming days. He stressed that pilgrims must be provided with all necessary assistance and facilities and that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
He further emphasized the provision of the best training facilities for pilgrims. The Prime Minister also instructed ensuring transparency and merit in the selection of Hajj assistants, along with special care for the pilgrims’ accommodation, travel, and other needs.
