Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that if talks are held with India, the discussion will include the Kashmir issue along with other key matters.
In an interview with a private TV channel, he said the foremost point in the dialogue would be the restoration of the Indus Waters Treaty, followed by discussions on terrorism and the Kashmir dispute.
He asserted that Pakistan has crushed India’s arrogance, and now India can no longer take pride in its power.
Tensions between Pakistan and India have eased recently, with both countries agreeing to a ceasefire.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced yesterday that, following his efforts, Pakistan and India have agreed to observe a ceasefire.
Despite the ceasefire, India continued shelling along the Line of Control, which was met with a strong response from Pakistan’s military.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Indian military violated the ceasefire at the LoC, but Pakistan is exercising restraint and remains committed to full implementation of the truce.
