A significant and long-term defense agreement has been finalized between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, officially signed at the UAE Ministry of Defense in Abu Dhabi.
According to media reports, the agreement was signed by UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Mohammed Al Mazrouei and US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The purpose of this agreement is to further strengthen military cooperation between the two countries and to develop a joint roadmap for enhancing defense capabilities.
A statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Defense said that this agreement aims to promote a strategic partnership between the UAE and the United States, under which the UAE has been recognized as a key defense partner of the US.
The new defense agreement includes collaboration in air and missile defense systems, and will also enhance cooperation in the areas of cybersecurity, disaster response, and operational planning. This agreement is considered a major effort to further enhance regional security and defense readiness.
