Saudi Arabia has decided to continue the ban on taking children to Hajj this year as well.
This policy was initially issued in February 2025 and is being strictly enforced. According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the decision was made due to the heavy crowds and safety concerns during the pilgrimage.
Officials stated that the safety and well-being of children is a top priority, and the step was essential to prevent any potential incidents in the crowded environment.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah clarified that Hajj is a major global religious gathering involving millions of participants, and it becomes extremely difficult to provide the specific facilities and protection required for children during this time. Therefore, the participation of young children in the Hajj has been restricted.
