Federal Minister Musadiq Malik has said that Pakistan seeks peace in the region, and due to recent military achievements, the country has also achieved clear success on the global diplomatic front.
Speaking to the media, he stated that the overall situation in the region has become critical, with aggression spreading throughout. He claimed that the government possesses evidence proving that India is financially supporting terrorist organizations.
He further said that Pakistan has presented its stance to the world clearly and unequivocally — that the country desires peace, not conflict — and its military success has strengthened its diplomatic standing within the international community.
Musadiq Malik said that the recent statement by U.S. President Donald Trump holds significance, in which Trump mentioned that trade discussions with both Pakistan and India are ongoing, and although the U.S. knows Iran, no one knows Iran better than Pakistan.
He added that this statement indicates Pakistan is in a position to play a constructive and important role in the Iran issue. He emphasized that Pakistan has longstanding relations with Iran and can become a driver of positive change in the region.
