Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the appointment of Pakistan’s new ambassadors to two key countries, Russia and the United Arab Emirates. The decision was made after reviewing recommendations put forward by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to further strengthen Pakistan’s diplomatic representation.
According to sources, senior diplomat Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, who has been serving as Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, will now take charge as the country’s new envoy to Russia. During his tenure in the UAE, Tirmizi played a vital role in advancing bilateral projects and fostering strong diplomatic ties.
Similarly, Shafqat Ali Khan has been appointed as Pakistan’s new ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. Currently serving as the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khan brings extensive experience in international relations and diplomatic strategy. His appointment is expected to enhance and further develop Pakistan’s relations with the UAE.
