Sindh Police’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Investigation, acting on a tip-off, arrested a key terrorist of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Karachi.
According to the statement issued by the CTD spokesperson, the arrested accused Israr Tariq is an important associate of the commander of Gedar group.
The spokesman said that a Kalashnikov was also recovered from the possession of the alleged terrorist.
He further said that the accused belongs to Dara Adam Khel, the arrested accused had come to Karachi from Dara Adam Khel 20 days ago.
The spokesman said that the Counter-Terrorism Department had received secret information about the reorganization of the Tariq Gedar group, the accused had arrived in Karachi to carry out terrorist activities.
The spokesperson said that the arrested accused has been a facilitator in many terrorist incidents before.
According to the statement of the Anti-Terrorism Department, more disclosures have been made by the accused during the investigation, in the light of the statement of the accused, the CTD is conducting operations, more important arrests are expected on the identification of the accused.
