Efforts are underway to arrest the Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, as tensions escalate in Lahore, including at the Zamana Park area.
Police and PTI workers once again faced off in the Dheri Pur area of Lahore, with police reaching Gate No.1 of Zamana Park.
Clashes have been ongoing since yesterday between police and demonstrators, with police using tear gas and water cannons to disperse workers while PTI workers are pelting stones.
Heavy police contingents are present on the adjoining roads of Zamana Park, with containers blocking the routes leading to the park. Additionally, police wagons are stationed in the area.
A large number of police personnel have also reached Zamana Park from Sheikhupura and Gujranwala.
