Light rain in several parts of Karachi early Monday morning brought pleasant weather to the city. Areas such as II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, and Garden experienced brief drizzles, giving residents a welcome break from the recent spell of humidity.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast intermittent rainfall across the country’s northern regions from today until September 19.
According to the department, heavy showers are expected in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, and Punjab.
Most districts of Sindh are likely to remain dry, though coastal areas could experience partly cloudy conditions. Similarly, much of Balochistan is also expected to witness partly cloudy skies during this period.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued an alert, warning of the potential risk of glacial lake outburst floods due to the forecasted rains. Authorities have been directed to take precautionary measures to avoid any untoward incidents.
