The government has issued a fresh notification regarding the prices of petroleum products. According to the official announcement, the price of petrol will remain unchanged at Rs. 264.61 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs. 2.78 per liter.
Following the revision, diesel will now be sold at Rs. 272.77 per liter. The price of kerosene oil has also gone up by Rs. 3.15 per liter, bringing its new rate to Rs. 179.96 per liter.
It is important to note that the government revises the prices of petroleum products every 15 days, taking into account international oil market trends and local financial considerations.
Earlier, on September 1, the government had decided to maintain the petrol price at Rs. 264.61 per liter while reducing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs. 3 per liter, according to the previous notification.
