Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has reacted to the crash of India’s Tejas fighter jet during the Dubai Air Show, stating that rejoicing over such mishaps is inappropriate as human life holds equal value regardless of nationality.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Afridi was asked about the incident, to which he responded, “Do not celebrate the death of an enemy, for one day your loved ones may die too,” emphasizing that the crash was not something to be happy about.
Talking about cricket, Shahid Afridi said that Pakistan possesses immense talent and the national team has been performing well, expressing hope that the side will also deliver a strong performance in the upcoming World Cup. He further commented on the Pakistan Super League, saying that the inclusion of two new teams is a positive move that will provide opportunities to players who previously struggled to find a place.
It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, an Indian Tejas fighter jet crashed during the Dubai Air Show due to a technical malfunction, drawing significant international attention.
