Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari visited the National Defence University (NDU), where he addressed the participants of the 27th National Security Workshop and congratulated them on successfully completing the program.
According to the ISPR, the workshop was attended by parliamentarians, senior civil and military officials, as well as representatives from academic and social sectors. Participants engaged in discussions on key national security issues and current strategic challenges.
The ISPR stated that the President appreciated the participants’ commitment and their interest in enhancing their understanding of national security matters. He noted that such workshops strengthen awareness and equip leadership with the insight needed to address evolving security challenges.
Highlighting the significance of the forum, ISPR added that the National Security Workshop is one of Pakistan’s premier platforms promoting national dialogue and inter-institutional coordination. It plays a vital role in strengthening national security strategy and improving institutional capacity.
President Zardari emphasized the importance of informed leadership, national cohesion, and integrated policymaking. During the closing ceremony, he distributed certificates among the graduates of the workshop.
