The British journal Financial Times has acknowledged the effective and inspiring leadership of Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, calling him a strong strategic leader in a changing global system.
According to the Financial Times, Field Marshal Asim Munir is an expert in multilateral foreign policy and understands the complex challenges facing middle powers in the context of changing global politics. The report says that the current global situation has ushered in a new but difficult era for middle powers, in which maintaining balance has become particularly challenging.
According to the journal, Field Marshal Asim Munir is considered one of the most successful multi-aligners among the world’s middle powers, while Pakistan’s military chief was also prominent in establishing effective coordination with former US President Donald Trump.
The Financial Times described Field Marshal Asim Munir as a successful example of middle-power diplomacy, writing that Pakistan’s leadership maintained active relations with Washington, Beijing, Riyadh, and Tehran simultaneously. According to the report, Pakistan’s diplomacy was effectively advanced in a changing global environment.
The journal says that Pakistan’s timely and gentle diplomatic approach to Trump proved beneficial for Pakistan, resulting in diplomatic success for Pakistan while India faced disappointment. According to the Financial Times, India has failed to adapt to the changing global situation and Trump’s style of politics, due to which it is facing difficulties in its middle power strategy.
