The upward trend in gold prices continues unabated, with a significant increase of thousands of rupees recorded again today, pushing local market rates to a new all-time high.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs 8,500, reaching Rs 470,862.
The association further stated that the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 7,288, taking it to Rs 403,688. This marks the first time in Pakistan’s history that the price of 10 grams of gold has crossed the Rs 400,000 threshold.
Meanwhile, international markets also witnessed a rise in gold prices, with the price per ounce increasing by $85 to $4,485.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, the price of gold per tola had already increased by Rs 6,200 in the local market.
