At the ongoing Asian Shotgun Championship in Doha, Pakistani shooter Colonel Farrukh Nadeem delivered an outstanding performance in the trap event, winning the gold medal and setting a new world record, marking a historic achievement for Pakistan.
This is the first time Pakistan has won a gold medal in shotgun shooting at the Asian level, with the achievement highlighting the country’s growing presence and competitiveness in international shooting sports.
Colonel Farrukh Nadeem secured the gold medal in the individual trap event while also establishing a new world record, demonstrating exceptional skill and consistency throughout the competition.
According to details, Farrukh Nadeem scored 119 out of 125 in the qualifying round, followed by an impressive score of 27 out of 30 in the final, which ensured his top position on the podium.
The Pakistan Shooting Federation stated that the Asian Shotgun Championship is being held under a new competition format, which is why Colonel Farrukh Nadeem’s performance is officially being recognized as a new world record, representing a major milestone for Pakistani shooting sports.
