A meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has begun, during which key national and provincial issues are expected to be discussed. According to sources, the meeting is currently underway at the Prime Minister’s House.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Adviser on Finance, Muzammil Aslam, is also part of the meeting, while Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Minister Amir Muqam, and Rana Sanaullah have also arrived at the Prime Minister’s House, underscoring the significance of the discussions.
Sources said that the meeting will focus on the situation in Tirah Valley, matters related to the peace jirga, and counter-terrorism efforts, along with broader issues concerning law and order and regional stability.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had stated that he received an invitation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for today’s meeting.
