The Supreme Court has issued a circular on the basis of Article 184/3, in which the Registrar of the Supreme Court has issued a circular regarding the ongoing scrutiny related to the judge’s self-notes in Justice Faez Isa’s verdict.
According to the Supreme Court’s circular, the power of self-note was used in Justice Faiz’s verdict.
The circular states that taking suo moto action in this manner is a violation of the 5-member bench’s court order and only the Chief Justice of Pakistan can take suo moto action. The scrutiny given in the verdict is rejected.
According to the circular, the scrutiny in the verdict of Justice Qazi Faiz Isa and Justice Amin was not based on self-notes.
