The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the schedule for the by-election on the vacant National Assembly seat, NA-256 Khuzdar, stating that polling will be held on April 5.
According to the official notification issued from Quetta, the public notice for the by-election will be published on February 18, formally initiating the electoral process in the constituency.
Nomination papers will be received from February 20 to February 24, while the preliminary list of nominated candidates will be issued on February 25.
The Election Commission further stated that election symbols will be allotted on March 18, after which candidates will be able to begin their formal election campaigns.
The notification also confirmed that the Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar has been appointed as the District Returning Officer (DRO) for the by-election and will oversee the conduct and administrative arrangements of the electoral process.
