Islamabad: An unexpected development has emerged in the High Court on the bail application of Najaf Hameed, brother of former DG ISI Faiz Hameed.
According to a private TV report, Justice Inam Amin Minhas has apologized for hearing the case and sent the file back to the Chief Justice, after which the possibility of forming a new bench is now being expressed.
During the hearing, Najaf Hameed appeared in court along with his lawyer, Barrister Raja Qadeer. The court remarked that caution was necessary in such cases, and the case would not be heard further.
It should be recalled that earlier, the Islamabad High Court had given major relief to Najaf Hameed in the fraud case, temporarily stayed his arrest, and suspended the proceedings against the decision of the Special Judge Central.
Later, after the FIA’s request to withdraw his pre-arrest bail was approved, Najaf Hameed approached the High Court and challenged the decision.
