Karachi: Rain accompanied by strong winds was recorded in various parts of the city, while hailstorms were also reported in certain areas, leading to pleasant weather but causing difficulties for commuters.
Following the rainfall, water accumulated on University Road in front of Samama Shopping Mall, disrupting the flow of traffic and resulting in long queues of vehicles. Citizens faced inconvenience in crossing the road and continuing their routine travel.
Similarly, on the road leading from University Road to Gulistan-e-Johar, potholes caused water to collect, slowing down traffic and creating further difficulties for motorists. The administration has initiated drainage measures to restore normal conditions.
Meanwhile, light to heavy rainfall was recorded in Malir Halt, Rifah-e-Aam, and surrounding areas, with strong winds blowing intermittently. In Malir Cantt, heavy rain was accompanied by hail, while reports of hailstorms were also received from certain parts of Gulistan-e-Johar.
Likewise, a hailstorm occurred during rainfall in Scheme 33 and adjoining areas, while rain and hail were also recorded in Gulshan-e-Jamal and nearby localities, with residents witnessing a sudden change in weather conditions.
