The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken legal action against the Prime Minister and federal cabinet for rejecting the Supreme Court’s decision. PTI’s Central Secretary of Information, Farukh Habib, has written a letter to the Federal Cabinet Division in which he has requested the Prime Minister’s office to provide verified details of the federal cabinet meeting held under his chairmanship.
The letter requests details of the participants, agenda, action taken, and decisions made during the federal cabinet meeting on April 4th.
Farukh Habib stated that national media outlets reported that the cabinet had rejected the Supreme Court’s decision. The three-member bench had issued a verdict on April 4th on constitutional petition number 5/2023, granting citizens the fundamental right of access to verified information. He further requested that the Cabinet Secretary provide the verified details of the April 4th meeting of the federal cabinet without any further delay.
