Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that reconciliation is a two-way process, adding that Iran will fulfill its commitments if the United States honors its obligations under the memorandum of understanding.
In a statement, Pezeshkian said Iran’s position remains clear in the face of what he described as unreasonable rhetoric, boastful remarks and baseless threats.
He stressed that Iran believes decisions should be guided by wisdom, reason and human dignity, while also maintaining the ability to respond decisively when it comes to defending its national interests.
Earlier, the Iranian president had claimed that $6 billion in Iranian assets frozen in Qatar would soon be released.
He also stated that half of the total $12 billion in frozen funds is expected to be transferred back to Iran.
Pezeshkian said these developments are taking place despite ongoing regional tensions and diplomatic negotiations, noting that discussions remain active and the situation continues to evolve.
