Islamabad: Former Chairman of the Senate, Mian Raza Rabbani, has condemned the violation of the Constitution by the federal government. He said Constitution has become a joke between the federal government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Raza Rabbani stated that the PTI violated the Constitution by implementing ordinances, depriving Parliament of its legislative rights, and committing violations by appointing two members of the Election Commission. He further stated that the PTI revoked the Article 6 prosecution team against former President Pervez Musharraf.
The former Senate Chairman stated that the motion of no-confidence against the Prime Minister was unconstitutional, and the role of the Deputy Speaker in this was also unconstitutional. The PTI’s Prime Minister suggested an unconstitutional option to the President to dissolve the assembly, and the President acted upon it.
Former Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani further said that PTI violated the Constitution by not announcing the NFC Award.
