Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial’s bench was suddenly delisted, along with all cases scheduled for hearing before the bench.
The Supreme Court Registrar issued a notification regarding the delisting of cases, but did not mention the reasons for delisting the bench.
Justice Jamal Mandukhel and Justice Athar Minullah were also included in the bench of Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Today, 12 cases were scheduled to be heard before the bench.
In addition, the list of cases for Bench 2 of the Supreme Court has also been withdrawn.
The case list for the Bench, which included Justices Sardar Tariq Masood and Shahid Waheed, has also been cancelled.
Regarding the delisting of the Chief Justice of Pakistan’s bench, a Supreme Court spokesperson said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Umar Ata Bandial, could not come to the Supreme Court due to his ill health. The doctor conducted a medical examination of the Chief Justice at his residence, and the security squad that brought him to the Supreme Court was also sent back.
