Chinese Foreign Minister says China is aware of Pakistan’s economic difficulties and helping Pakistan is a priority for China. China welcomes Pakistani students to pursue their education in China.
According to reports, Chinese Foreign Minister Chang Gang met with President Arif Alvi in Islamabad. Hina Rabbani Khar, China’s Deputy Foreign Minister, and other senior officials were also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, both countries exchanged views on promoting regional peace and prosperity. They reaffirmed their commitment to work together to tackle common external challenges. President Alvi said that the Pakistan-China relationship is based on mutual trust, understanding, and goodwill. Both countries support each other on fundamental issues, and cooperation between Pakistan and China is becoming increasingly important in the world.
He added that Pakistan is determined to complete the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Gwadar Port. The CPEC will play a crucial role in promoting bilateral trade. Effective measures will be taken to ensure the protection of Chinese workers in Pakistan.
President Alvi said that the transportation of goods between Sinkieng and Gwadar will become easier. Chinese investors should take advantage of Pakistan’s business-friendly policies.
