Lahore: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has stated that despite his warning to Bajwa, the government was terminated.
While addressing the nation, former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the current government is a gift from Bajwa. In a closed-door meeting, a person stated that Imran Khan is dangerous, remove him and bring Shahbaz and Ishaq Dar.
Imran Khan stated that regarding the termination of the government, he had told Bajwa that the country would not function with them, and to not bring down the government. He even sent his finance minister to convince Bajwa, but our functioning government was still terminated.
In his address, Imran Khan said that he had tried his best to hold the elections before their arrival. The constitution also clearly states that elections should be held within 90 days after the assembly is dissolved. The Supreme Court also stated that elections should be held within 90 days, but the current ruling government did not hold any elections.
Former Prime Minister said that in this by-election, the followers of Maulana Fazlur Rehman were accommodated in this assembly seat. While Shehbaz’s supporters are sitting in Punjab, they are still seated till October and have not allowed any elections.
Imran Khan stated that we told the Supreme Court that elections in Punjab should be held on time, but the Supreme Court rejected our request. I was upset that the courts would open at midnight, but they did not say anything.
