Today, the nation is observing Pakistan Martyrs’ Day to pay tribute to the martyrs. Various ceremonies are being held in connection with the commemoration of Pakistan Martyrs’ Day.
The central ceremony of Pakistan Martyrs’ Day is taking place at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
In the central ceremony, Army Chief General Asim Munir is present as a special guest.
The ceremony is attended by serving and retired officers of the armed forces, including former Army Chief General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa, former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Nadeem Raza, and other retired officers.
In addition, Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, Mufti Maneeb ur Rahman, Captain of the National Cricket Team Babar Azam, along with personalities from various walks of life and the families of martyrs, are also present.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and a tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan.
Army Chief General Asim Munir paid homage to the martyrs, laid floral wreaths, recited Fateha, and offered prayers for the lofty ranks of the martyrs.
Furthermore, former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, General (Retd) Nadeem Raza, Inspector General of Islamabad Police Akbar Naser, DG Anti-Narcotics Force, Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi, families of martyrs, and students from the school also laid flowers at the memorial for the martyrs.
On this occasion, prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for the progress and stability of the country.
