Islamabad: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has been assigned a special task to arrest Murad Saeed, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former federal minister.
Murad Saeed, the PTI leader, is wanted by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab Police, but he has managed to evade police custody so far and is in hiding at an undisclosed location.
According to police sources, a raid was conducted at Murad Saeed’s house in Swat during the night, but he was not present at home. Raids were also carried out in Batakheila and Bajaur in search of Murad Saeed, but his whereabouts remain unknown.
Police officials have stated that there is no information regarding Murad Saeed’s presence in Punjab or Islamabad.
Prior to this, the police had conducted raids at various locations, including Murad Saeed’s residence, in an attempt to arrest him, but they faced failure.
It is worth mentioning that in the past few days, former PTI leader Faisal Vawda had claimed that Murad Saeed is close to PTI Chairman Imran Khan and is involved in many things. Murad Saeed also played a significant role in the murder case of journalist Arshad Sharif. He had claimed that Murad Saeed had a laptop belonging to Arshad Sharif.
