The Supreme Court has scheduled Sirajul Haq’s petition filed for investigation against 436 Pakistanis in Panama Papers for hearing after almost 6 years.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has scheduled a hearing, nearly six years after the request was filed, to investigate 436 Pakistanis in relation to the Panama Papers. The request was filed by lawyer Sardar Sajjadul Haq.
The hearing for the request filed by the Jamaat-e-Islami party will be conducted by a two-member bench headed by Justice Sardar Tariq Masood on 9th June. Justice Aminuddin Khan will also be a part of the bench.
The Supreme Court has issued notices to the concerned parties, including the Attorney General, regarding this matter.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami filed a petition in the Supreme Court in 2017.
In the application, an investigation was requested against 436 Pakistanis in the Panama Papers.
