Karachi: The Meteorological Department has predicted below-normal rainfall in June, July, and August, stating that northern regions may experience above-average rainfall.
The series of rains and thunderstorms that had been ongoing for three days in the country has subsided, but there is a possibility of heavy rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjacent areas.
Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan will remain hot and dry today, according to the Meteorological Department. While below-normal rainfall is expected in June, July, and August, there is a possibility of above-average rainfall in northern regions.
The Meteorological Department has mentioned that there could be an increase in temperature in the upper regions towards the end of the season, which could lead to the melting of snow and increased flow in rivers.
On the other hand, Karachi will remain hot and humid today as well. According to the Meteorological Department, there is currently no possibility of rainfall in Karachi.
