Islamabad Police have registered cases against anchors Moeed Pirzada, Sabir Shakir, and Syed Akbar Hussain, accusing them of inciting violence and rebellion against institutions in relation to the events of May 9th.
According to the details of the cases, anchor Sabir Shakir, Moeed Pirzada, and Syed Akbar Hussain were continuously inciting rebellion against institutions through social media on May 9th. They have been accused of directly instructing the individuals involved in the acts of vandalism on that day.
The case has been registered at the Abpara police station under the Anti-Terrorism Act and rebellion. The FIR states that the accused individuals manipulated ordinary people through video messages and social media.
The FIR further states that the suspects intended to incite rebellion and spread unrest in the country by attacking military installations. Through this organized conspiracy, they were acting as agents of foreign and enemy agencies.
Another case has been registered against journalists Shahin Sehbai, Wajahat Saeed Khan, YouTuber Haider Raza Mehdi, and YouTuber Adil Raja. This case has been filed at the Ramna police station.
The accused individuals in this case have been alleged to have been inciting terrorism through their Twitter accounts.
