Cyclone Biparjoy is getting closer to Karachi, its effects on the city are becoming noticeable.The Chairman of (NDMA) has stated that the landfall of the cyclone will occur between the ports of Karachi and Gujarat.
There is a cluster of clouds in the sky over Karachi, and intermittent light and heavy rainfall is occurring in various parts of the city.
The areas of Ibrahim Hyderi and University Road in Karachi experienced heavy rain accompanied by strong winds. Meanwhile,light rain was recorded in other areas including Gurmandari, Sadar, Shibashi, Clifton and Korangi.
Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Lieutenant General (Retd.) Anam Haider Malik, stated that the coastal cyclone can make landfall anytime tomorrow morning.
