Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden. Shehbaz Sharif said that the entire Islamic world and the Christian world must stop this conspiracy together.
In his statement, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the OIC should take practical measures to curb this blasphemy. OIC must act as the representative of the Muslim ummah and play a historic role in preventing this blasphemy against the Torah, Bible, and the Holy Quran.
The Prime Minister stated that disrespecting sacred scriptures, personalities, and symbols does not express freedom but inflicts perpetual torment on the world. The sequence and arrangement of these incidents prove that it is not an expression of free speech but rather a part of a political and malicious agenda.
Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that the entire Islamic and Christian world must unite to stop this conspiracy. The followers of evil forces are disrespecting the book that bestowed dignity, rights, and guidance to humanity. The encouragement of those who disrespect the decisions allowing blasphemy against the Torah and the Bible has been boosted.
Furthermore, Shahbaz Sharif added that this promotion of hatred is not permissible under global law. Such attitudes of inciting religious emotions, inflaming passions, promoting terrorism, and endorsing violence are detrimental to global peace. These behaviors are profoundly detestable and condemnable from both legal and moral perspectives.
