Former US President Donald Trump has been indicted on a third set of charges within four months, accused of being involved in the Capitol Hill attack and tampering with the 2020 presidential election.
The charges include attempting to obstruct justice while in office, deceiving America, and conspiring to violate civil rights.
The investigation into these charges was conducted by federal grand juries led by special counsel Jake Smith.
Besides Trump, six of his associates have also been indicted on similar charges.
Donald Trump has been ordered to appear in the US federal court on Thursday.
In a statement, Donald Trump said that the charges remind him of Nazi Germany during the 1930s and that the American people are suffering from persecution.
The former President had previously stated that he heard there would be another false indictment.
During his election campaign, Trump criticized the handling of the investigation, questioning why it was not done two and a half years ago.
Trump is currently running a campaign to regain the presidency next year.
