Islamabad: Former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has stated that the general elections will take place in February 2024. If the elections will be held in February, it would be appropriate for Nawaz Sharif to come in September-October.
Senior leader of the Muslim League-N, Rana Sanaullah, has mentioned that after the population census, elections will be held in February. If the elections happen in February, it will be appropriate for Nawaz Sharif to return in September-October.
He asserted that in the current circumstances, the nation will only listen to Nawaz Sharif’s words. Whether this announcement regarding his return will be made by him personally or by the party is yet to be determined.
Rana Sanaullah said that everyone, except those involved in the 9th May incident, should be allowed to participate in the elections. However, it is entirely incorrect that we want the arrow symbol not to appear on the ballot paper.
The PML-N leader commented that Khawaja Asif is correct in saying that we should work on a zero-risk approach. In my opinion, nothing remains in the zero-risk approach now, except Nawaz Sharif’s appearance in court.
Rana Sanaullah further stated that the country cannot move forward with a caretaker setup.
