In an operation against terrorists by security forces in the Razmak area of North Waziristan, 2 militants were killed in an exchange of gunfire.
According to the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted the operation based on confidential information about the presence of militants in the Razmak area on the nights of August 14 and 15.
According to the ISPR, security forces surrounded the terrorists’ hideout, leading to a intense exchange of gunfire in which 2 militants were killed. The seized militants’ hideout yielded weapons and ammunition.
The ISPR stated that the militants killed were involved in terrorist activities against security forces, extortion, and targeting innocent civilians.
According to ISPR, a clearance operation is underway in the area to eliminate other potential terrorists. The local residents have expressed their full cooperation for the eradication of terrorism, welcoming the operation.
