The Meteorological Department has predicted the start of a new spell of rain and snowfall in the country from tomorrow. Meanwhile, there is a concern about urban flooding in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala.
According to the Met Department, a series of western winds will enter the country on October 13.
From October 13 to 17, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and several other areas are expected to experience thunderstorms with rain, while hail is possible in some locations. On October 17 and 18, thunderstorms with rain are expected in Sindh and Balochistan along with lightning.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in various areas including Swat, Mansehra, Malakand, Abbottabad, while there is a possibility of snowfall in the mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan while snowfall is expected in hilly areas.
Landslides are feared due to rapid flow of water in hilly areas including Chitral Swat Murri.
The Meteorological Department has advised the tourists to be careful due to rain and snowfall in the hilly areas.
