Saudi Arabia has warned that this year’s Hajj days will experience intense heat, advising pilgrims to prepare themselves to cope with the heat.
DG Hajj Mission Pakistan, Abdul Wahab Soomro, stated that due to the high temperatures, pilgrims should consume more water to maintain hydration.
Abdul Wahab Soomro emphasized that pilgrims should avoid caffeinated and sugary drinks and make use of masks, umbrellas, and sunglasses to protect themselves from the heat.
On the other hand, in Arafat, roads have been painted white to lower the temperature.
According to the General Roads Authority of Saudi Arabia, applying a special type of white paint on roads reduces the surface temperature by up to 20 degrees Celsius.
