Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived at the Great Hall of the People in China, where he was presented with a guard of honor by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang welcomed Shehbaz Sharif, who introduced his delegation to the Chinese counterpart. The Army Chief General Asim Munir was also present at the guard of honor ceremony.
It is noteworthy that on June 3, the Foreign Office spokesperson had announced that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif would be on an official visit to China from June 4 to June 8, 2024. Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and other key federal ministers are also accompanying the Prime Minister on this visit to China.
The spokesperson mentioned that Prime Minister is visiting China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The Prime Minister’s visit will have three parts, including visits to the cities of Beijing, Xi’an, and Shenzhen.
Yesterday, speaking at the Pak-China Friendship and Business event in Beijing, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said it was an honor for him to address the Pak-China Friendship and Business event. He highlighted that China’s productive capacity is renowned worldwide and that China’s rapid development in a short period serves as a beacon for them.
