Famous YouTuber and anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan was arrested by authorities at Lahore Airport while attempting to depart for Saudi Arabia amidst unclear circumstances.

According to the report, Imran Riaz Advocate Azhar Sadiq confirmed that Imran Riaz Khan was arrested at the airport while wearing Ihram. He added that unidentified individuals, accompanied by the police, also apprehended him. There was also a scuffle at the airport. Imran Riaz Khan is currently on bail in all cases.

On the other hand, it has been reported on Imran Riaz Khan’s account that despite court orders, individuals, both in and out of uniform, arrested Imran Riaz Khan in Ihram at the airport. Imran Riaz Khan was arrested forcibly and rudely. He was made to recite “Labbaik Allah” in a loud voice and was seated in a black van. A video of him has also been shared in which Imran Riaz Khan said, “I have to go for Hajj. I will not leave this country. Everyone knows I will never leave this country. I want to live in this country, but I also want to live freely and independently.”

In one video, Imran Riaz stated that he has been repeatedly picked up, sometimes made to disappear, and sometimes cases have been filed against him. He mentioned enduring immense suffering over the past one and a half to two months. He expressed his desire to perform Hajj in 2022 but was arrested. Then, in 2023, he intended to wear Ihram but was arrested again. He had made the intention to perform Hajj this year.

Imran Riaz mentioned that he visited various offices over the past two months, knocked on every door of the system, and informed everyone that he wants to go for Hajj. He clarified that he has no other intention. Subsequently, the matter reached the High Court. This is the last flight for Hajj, and he has been informed that there is a large number of police and rangers at the airport who can arrest him. Everyone is advising him not to go there.

Imran Riaz stated, “I am going to the airport and going with the intention of Hajj. I will return after performing Hajj because I have to appear in court on the 8th of next month. I have purchased the ticket five times; you don’t even get a refund for the Hajj ticket. I have also called my family from abroad; they are also waiting for me at the airport. You will watch this video when I am not allowed to leave or when I am arrested. I know who is stopping me.”
