Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi inspected the ongoing renovations at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Naqvi visited the stadium and expressed dissatisfaction when work stopped at night.
Naqvi ordered 24-hour work to be done for the stadium’s upgrade and to speed up the pace of work. PCB Chairman stated that completing this major project on time requires working around the clock. Additionally, he instructed to ensure prompt drainage of accumulated water due to burst pipes underneath the main structure of the stadium.
PCB Chairman emphasized the need to bring in additional resources to complete the stadium’s upgrade before the Champions Trophy and to accelerate the pace of work.
Director International Cricket and General Manager Infrastructure were also present on the occasion.
It is worth noting that Pakistan is set to host the Champions Trophy 2025, and PCB has sent the final schedule of the tournament to the ICC for approval.
