Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that India should respect Canada’s sovereignty, that the attack on Canada’s integrity is unacceptable and a violation of international law.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a statement that Canada respects the sovereignty and integrity of India. And expect India to respect Canada’s sovereignty.
He said that Canada and India have had a long and historic relationship but now the Sikh community in particular is concerned, angry, and distressed. So that Canadians feel safe in their own country.
Justin Trudeau said it was important to stop criminal acts against public safety in Canada. And the evidence that has come up in the investigation cannot be ignored.
The Canadian Prime Minister said that the violent incidents against the Sikh community had been investigated. And asked India to end the diplomatic immunity of 6 officials posted in Canada. But India refused to make diplomatic officials part of the inquiry. Asked India to cooperate with inquiries in the light of investigation.
