Speaking on the first day of the four-day International Defense Exhibition Ideas 2024, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that he welcomes all the distinguished guests participating in the exhibition and that delegates from all over the world will get the best benefit from it.
He said that Pakistan is a responsible country, and Pakistan is playing its unique role for peace in the world, important issues including technical issues will be discussed in the exhibition.
He said that Pakistan’s economy is moving towards positive decimals, there are immense opportunities for investment and joint ventures in the country, and Pakistan’s defense industry is flourishing.
Promoting connectivity is essential for regional peace and socio-economic development, Pakistan believes in solving problems through dialogue.
The International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) was launched for the first time in 2000 and has been held regularly since then.
Karachi has once again been chosen to host the country’s largest defense exhibition. The 12th IDEAS will be held from November 19 to 22 and will become the largest defense equipment exhibition forum in the region.
It should be noted that in view of the defense exhibition, the Education Department of Sindh has announced the closure of educational institutions around Shahrah Faisal and Karsaz for four days to maintain traffic flow in Karachi. However, today is the morning of the first day of the exhibition. Heavy traffic jams were seen in these areas, causing citizens to face difficulties going to educational institutions and offices.
