Karachi: Model, actress, and TV host Iffat Umar revealed that, like other girls, she had affairs in her youth and never denied or refused to acknowledge her affairs and scandals.
In a podcast, she stated that she is against people who have the same mentality as Imran Khan, and ever since Imran Khan came into the picture, there has been turmoil in the country. The actress claimed that she also criticizes the Pakistan Muslim League (N) government and officials. Iffat Umar mentioned that women’s freedom and independence are only possible when women have a majority in parliament and decision-making positions, including in the government.
Speaking about marriage, she mentioned that she met her husband Umar through a friend. Initially, their relationship developed, and then she pressured Umar to marry her. In response to another question, she revealed that rumors had been spread about her being divorced. She mentioned that those who criticize women and claim that 35 divorced feminist women are behind the movement, include her in those 35.
Iffat Umar claimed that her scandal or affair never came to light because she was not the type to make it public. She also clarified that it’s not that she never had affairs, like other young girls, she too had affairs. According to Iffat Umar, just like boys and girls have affairs in their youth, she too had them and never denied such affairs. She explained that since her affairs were not with famous people, they never became scandals.
