Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, has filed a pre-arrest bail application in the Additional Sessions Judge’s court in Islamabad regarding the case of PTI’s illegal entry and protest in the capital on November 26.
The court has directed the investigating officer to visit Adiala Jail to include Bushra Bibi in the investigation and submit a report by February 17.
The case against Bushra Bibi was registered in connection with PTI’s violent protest in November, which involved vandalism and clashes with police and security forces. She has also been accused of violating Islamabad High Court orders, which carries a potential sentence of up to three years in prison.
Meanwhile, the federal government has once again extended an offer for negotiations with PTI, emphasizing that the doors for dialogue have never been closed.
National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq confirmed that the government’s negotiation committee remains intact and has not been dissolved. Speaking to the media, Ayaz Sadiq stated that despite political differences, PTI members are in contact with the government.
He further added that any negotiation initiative should come from within PTI, and if approved internally, they would approach the government for talks.
Referring to PTI founder Imran Khan, Ayaz Sadiq acknowledged his tough negotiation stance but confirmed that communication channels remain open.
