Lahore: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and former Prime Minister, Mian Nawaz Sharif, has stated that their narrative is centered on the development of the country and freeing the people from inflation to ensure their prosperity.
He was speaking during a meeting with members of the Punjab Assembly, where senior party leaders, including Senator Pervez Rashid, Rana Sanaullah, Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, and Rashid Nasrullah, were also present.
Nawaz Sharif mentioned that, unfortunately, a country that was once on the path of development veered off track, and by corrupting politics, the nation was driven toward destruction. He stated that Pakistan achieved economic stability after nearing default, and thanks to the hard work of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the country’s economy has been stabilized. He also remarked that corruption, inflation, and mismanagement were the “gifts” of the so-called “change” but the PML-N had bid farewell to the IMF.
Nawaz Sharif emphasized that the goal of his party was to free the people from inflation and ensure the nation’s development. He mentioned that, by the grace of Allah, their promises are being fulfilled.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed that she took on the mission of public service as a challenge and thanked the leadership for entrusting her with this responsibility. Assembly members stated that Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif have always been at the forefront of serving Pakistan and its people, and their efforts are evident in the country’s development.
The assembly members lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts towards economic stability, saying that he worked with “Shehbaz Speed,” resulting in Pakistan’s return to the IMF program and saving the country from default.
Appreciating Maryam Nawaz’s public service, the assembly members stated that her unparalleled political struggle and public service have brought equal development across Punjab, and the launch of revolutionary programs like the Green Pakistan initiative in Cholistan is a welcome step.
